To mark the twenty-fifth anniversary of the creation of the world-wide-web, I should probably say something profound. I could write about the net’s social and cultural impact, as well as it’s impact on art, language and media; I could write prosaically about how it changed the world. I should probably praise it for being the means through which I met Lyn; it is also, of course, through the web that I keep in touch with my friends and family.
