Just a quick note today to wish my mum a happy birthday, and dad a happy father’s day. They told me yesterday on skype that they have a day out planned today, so with luck they’ll currently be having a great time. I know I can be a pain, and that I often give them cause for worry – that is, after all, my job as a middle son – but I also know how proud they are of me, as I am of them, and that means more than I can say.
