I thought I would rewatch the Bond Prom on TV last night, just to check that I hadn’t missed anything, or to see if it would be more inspiring when watched on telly. To be honest, when Mum and I went to the Albert Hall on Tuesday, we weren’t in the best spots: tucked away in a supposedly accessible area at the side of the stage, sitting on seats with very little leg-room. Perhaps my discomfort affected my opinion of the performance. Frankly, though, it wasn’t much better when viewed from the comfort of my arm-chair: a quick fire rendition of the Bond themes delivered without much passion. It never really hit the mark I was hoping it would hit, ultimately leaving me rather disappointed.
