Somebody Flips A Switch In Woolwich

I love how London always has the ability to surprise me. It had already been a fairly interesting afternoon: today I thought I would have a bit of a change and take a trundle along the north bank of the Thames, before finding my way up to Farringdon and catching the Elisabeth Line home. Perfectly pleasant, but nothing that noteworthy. Heading to the bus stop in Woolwich though, all of a sudden I found myself in the middle of a dance routine: a band was playing, an audience was gathering, and people, who were dressed like anyone else there, were staring to perform carefully choreographed routines. It was obviously part of GDIF. The square I had been passing through was suddenly filled with energy, music and joy, almost as if someone had flipped a switch. It was obviously a well planned piece of street art, but what excited me is the fact that I had just trundled straight into the middle of it: five minutes earlier or later and I would have missed the whole thing. It makes me wonder where else I could encounter such surprises.
