I just watched the BBC evening news bulletin, and suddenly really think I need to point something out. The country is about to face the worst storm we’ve seen in months, possibly years – there could even be a serious threat to life. You would presume that any responsible national news broadcaster would have that as it’s lead story, at the top of the bulletin. But, bewilderingly, no! First the country had to hear about Meghan Markle’s dad being investigated by the MET police, as if this ‘royal news’ was somehow more important. When I saw that I was utterly aghast. Surely we have a major problem in this country if we are more concerned about this idiotic royal soap opera than we are about an imminent natural catastrophe!
